We strongly encourage our guests to book accommodations in downtown Charleston. While the ceremony and reception will take place on Kiawah, all other weekend activities will be in Charleston.
Kiawah Island is about a one hour drive from Charleston. We will have transportation provided to and from Kiawah on wedding day from the below hotels.

Charleston International Airport (CHS)
The nearest airport is Charleston International Airport (CHS), located about 20 minutes from downtown Charleston, where our hotel room blocks are reserved.
If you choose to stay on Kiawah Island, the airport is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour away, depending on traffic.
We recommend arriving in Charleston no later than Friday to enjoy the welcome party and explore the city before Saturday’s celebration.
ground transportation
Charleston offers a variety of transportation options:
Rideshare: Uber and Lyft are widely available at the airport and throughout downtown. Uber/Lyft is not available on Kiawah Island.
Car Rentals: Major rental companies operate at CHS for guests who prefer their own vehicle.
We’ll provide transportation to and from the wedding venue on Saturday, so no need to worry about driving that day.

We’ve reserved hotel room blocks in downtown Charleston for your convenience.
If you prefer to explore other options, Airbnb and VRBO offer many great stays throughout the downtown area.
Guests wishing to stay closer to the venue may book at The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort. Please reach out to us directly for our 10% discount code before booking. Please be aware that transportation on and off Kiawah is difficult as there are no ride share options on the island.
